Self-Proclaimed Agnostic
Basically this means,
“I’m not convinced there is a God. I need more evidence.”
Self-Proclaimed Atheist
There is no God, actually means, “No God for me.” This person may know a bit about what an actual atheist believes. But, I promise you, this person knows very little about true atheism, and he/she is dreadfully fearful you’ll discover how little they know.
This person will also be a raging hypocrite. You can bank on that. He/she has most likely been indoctrinated at your state university.
Card-Carrying Atheist

You won’t run into one; more likely to spot a unicorn first.
Practicing Atheist
More and more, this is the person you discuss things with. This person may be your brother, uncle, cousin, neighbor, co-worker, barber, or dog-groomer. This person may affirm there is a God, but his/her actions and words clearly demonstrate that he/she lives as if there is no God.
The Careless and Unconcerned
They live as if they are destined to live here forever, though that notion has never popped into their minds.
Often this bunch will label themselves Daoist-Christians, Budhist-Maryists, or some other irrational, illogical, mythical thing. Why?
Because these folks comprehend very little. But, ignorance notwithstanding, these folks will be prideful.
You should count on it.
So, this is how a cosmic war for truth plays out?
Yes, except we must include
a diabolical Satan and his minions who hate you
and the All-Powerful,
All-Glorious Trinity whose world this is.
God will prevail, but in infinite wisdom, this war for souls goes on. It is your time
and my time
to mount the stage
and to man our posts.
